This guide walks you through setting up your Dollr Business account from sign-up to your first payment.
1. Create Your Account
To get started, visit the Dollr Business sign-up page and provide the following:
- Phone number
- Full name
- Email address
- Gender
- Country (defaults to Liberia)
2. Select Your Account Type
After verifying your phone number, you will choose between two account types:
Sole Proprietorship / Unregistered Business - Best for individuals, freelancers, and informal businesses. Requires only a government-issued ID for verification. Gives you access to all core payment features.Registered Business / Organization - Best for officially registered companies, NGOs, and formal organizations. Requires business registration documents and a contact person's ID. Gives you access to all features including team management and API keys.
See the Onboarding Requirements article for full details on what documents you need.
3. Complete Verification
Submit your identity and business documents through the onboarding form. Your account will enter a review period:
- Review time: Typically 1 to 72 hours
- Status updates: Visible in your dashboard via the verification banner
- Notification: You will receive an email when your account is approved
While under review, some features are restricted. Core features become available once approved.
4. Explore Your Dashboard
Once approved, your dashboard gives you a real-time overview of your business:
- Revenue summary with trends compared to the previous period
- Transaction count and success rates
- Revenue chart showing daily, weekly, or monthly performance
- Payment method breakdown (MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Card)
- Currency volume split between USD and LRD
- Recent activity with the latest transactions
5. Start Accepting Payments
The fastest way to accept a payment is to create a Payment Link:
- Go to Payment Links in the sidebar
- Click Create Link
- Select or add a customer
- Enter a title, currency, and optional notes
- Add line items with descriptions, quantities, and prices
